Whoa, I know, its been ages since I posted. Got a bit frustrated about not being able to post images but I think I'm over it!
Had an excellent opening last Friday! Sold 6 paintings on opening night which was great! I'm exhibiting a series of potraits of women from history, real or mythological, who we know but who dont have an iconic face eg. Aphrodite, Salome, Delilah, Ophelia...
The work that received the most comments was a painting of Eve. She's holding out an apple which is in perfect focus but she stands behind the apple, out of focus. The man who bought it had already paid for it when his wife said, "you've bought another nude!" to which he replied, "Have I?". I victory I claim that a MAN sees the apple before the breasts! So it is true, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!!
