Hey everyone,

Whoa, I know, its been ages since I posted. Got a bit frustrated about not being able to post images but I think I'm over it!

Had an excellent opening last Friday! Sold 6 paintings on opening night which was great! I'm exhibiting a series of potraits of women from history, real or mythological, who we know but who dont have an iconic face eg. Aphrodite, Salome, Delilah, Ophelia...
The work that received the most comments was a painting of Eve. She's holding out an apple which is in perfect focus but she stands behind the apple, out of focus. The man who bought it had already paid for it when his wife said, "you've bought another nude!" to which he replied, "Have I?". I victory I claim that a MAN sees the apple before the breasts! So it is true, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!!

So my dealer in Auckland has sold the dog painting (posted on my first post) to James Wallace, a very well respected and savvy art collector! Its a really big deal to be a part of his collection so I am VERY happy!! Hoo hoo, yay for me!

PS I am on a mac with explorer as my browser which means I can no longer post images due to the 'upgrade' they've done. This might be the end of the line for me and blogging.

My next exhibition is in 6 weeks so back in studio painting furiously.

Small and cold but all mine, well except for the other side which is my husbands part. So small cold and shared but other than that MINE! I love having a space I can make as much mess as I like AND there's no one else to tidy up after. Sigh. If only the house could be like that just sometimes.

So you know after you've had a show open and you get a bit down the following week or two. Sort of an anti climax to something you've been working on for ages. Well a good remedy I've found is drawing. Low impact non-commital doodling.
So here are my doodles!

Thought I could use them on my new website, when I get round to designing it.
